CRB Honors Bob Kingsley's Legacy with Special Memorial Auction Commemorating Kingsley’s 85th Birthday
(Nashville, Tennessee - March 19, 2024) - Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) announces a special memorial auction event commemorating what would have been the 85th birthday of the late national radio personality Bob Kingsley. The auction is now LIVE here. Additionally, a limited quantity of retro Bob Kingsley merchandise is available here.
The auction features plaques gifted to Kingsley by various artists over the years, with the bidding starting at $85, symbolizing Kingley's legacy and impact on the industry. Additionally, vintage Bob Kingsley apparel is available for purchase. All proceeds from the auction and merchandise sales will benefit the Country Radio Hall of Fame.
RJ Curtis, the Executive Director of CRB/CRS, expressed the organization's enthusiasm for the auction, saying, “CRS continues to celebrate the life and career of the legendary Bob Kingsley by teaming up with Nan Kingsley for this unique auction generously benefiting the Country Radio Hall of Fame. What a fitting way to commemorate his 85th birthday and remember his 1998 CRHOF induction.”
The auction will run for two weeks, concluding on April 2nd at 11:59 p.m. PT. Bidders can participate through BetterWorld Auctions, while apparel sales will be facilitated through CRB's official website, CRB.org.
The Country Radio Hall of Fame celebrates individuals who have made enduring impacts on the radio industry over a 20-year period, with at least 15 years dedicated to the Country format.
The Country Radio Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner will take place on June 19th at the Virgin Hotel Nashville. Further details, including the date, time, and ticket information, will be released closer to the date.
This year's inductees include on-air personalities Cody Alan (SiriusXM) and the duo Pam & Tom (KNCI/Sacramento), as well as off-air luminaries Mike Moore (WKHX/Atlanta), Jim Robertson (retired, KIKK/Houston, WOGK/Gainesville/Ocala), and Meg Stevens (WUBL/Atlanta).
