Country Radio Broadcasters Announce $25,000 Scholarship Endowments
CRB Board Renews Commitment for Educational Programs Developing Industry Hopefuls
$199 Unemployment Rate Now Available For CRS 2022
(Nashville, Tenn. – Feb. 3, 2022) The Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) has announced plans to distribute $25,000 in educational endowments among four universities: Belmont University, Middle Tennessee State University, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and the University of North Alabama. The scholarship funds will be formally presented during the CRS New Faces of Country Music® Show on Friday, February 25.
CRB Scholarship Chairman John Shomby comments, “On behalf of the CRB, I want to thank the Board of Directors for continuing to create future opportunities in our business for aspiring broadcasters. These endowments are one step closer to attracting that next wave who will help take us through this ever-changing technological radio world!”
To qualify for the endowment, applicants were required to fulfill the following: college or university accreditation; have a TV/Film/Radio or Music Business program; the school must be responsible for managing the endowment, and for selecting deserving students to receive the scholarships.
Past recipients of the CRB endowment scholarship include Texas A&M University, Central Michigan University, University of North Texas, Green River College, and others.
Country Radio Broadcasters has also announced that the $199 Unemployment Rate is now available for CRS 2022. To apply for the special rate, interested parties must apply at Country Radio Seminar’s registration page (here) no later than February 17. Registrants will need to select the “Unemployment Rate” as the registration type to be considered for the discounted rate. Applications will be reviewed, verified, and approved by CRB. A student rate has also been made available for CRS 2022 and is $149 per person.
Available for purchase at www.CountryRadioSeminar.com, a full 3-day registration package is $649 per person. Single-day passes (limited to two-day passes per person) are $249 per person, per day. Day passes include access to panels, speakers, luncheons, and networking destinations on the day of pass purchase, with the exception of Friday’s New Faces of Country Music show. Day passes will only be available for purchase on-site.
Everyone attending CRS 2022 will be required to provide documentation of full COVID-19 vaccinations or a negative COVID test result, to be completed within 48-hours of arrival at the event. If attendees cannot provide either, rapid antigen and PCR tests will be available upon arrival and conducted on-site at no cost to attendees. CRB has engaged the services of 3P America for end-to-end digital compliance, using its mobile-based, proprietary application, 3P Smart Verify.
The official mobile app for Country Radio Seminar will be available for download on mobile devices in the coming weeks. The CRS 2022 app provides attendees with an expanded CRS agenda, session descriptions, speaker bios, artists performing, integrated calendar upgrades, and other event news.
