CRS Announces First-Ever After Hours Ping Pong Tournament
(Nashville, Tenn. – Feb. 18, 2020) – Country Radio Seminar has added the first-ever CRS 2020 Ping Pong Showdown to its after-hours schedule on Thursday, February 20th – immediately following “Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley.” The tournament will take place in Omni Nashville Hotel’s Legends A-C on Level 2, topping off CRS 2020’s second day with a fun twist. Doors open at 10 p.m., with tournament play starting at 10:15 p.m.
This one-of-a-kind event will feature top Country artists and biggest names in music programming competing for bragging rights, and an opulent, borderline obnoxious championship trophy. Losers will also be able to remember the evening with a pristine participation trophy, ideal for placement next to their ACM and CMA Awards.
With a hand full of spots available, players confirmed at press time include Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, Brett Young, Scotty McCreery, Matt Stell, Tim Roberts, Rod Phillips, Johnny Chiang, Michael Levine, Chris Huff, Mike Kennedy and Gator Harrison. Complete tournament bracket details will be revealed this week, along with a complete list of players competing in this prestigious event.
Stoney Creek VP/Promotion Byron Kennedy and the voice of Colorado himself, iHeartMedia Regional VP Jojo Turnbeaugh, will serve as co-emcees; tournament play will be supervised by (ten-time Tennessee State Men’s Singles and Doubles Champion) Larry Thoman, who also serves as the National Sanctioning Coordinator for USA Table Tennis.
