In addition to the release of the app, the Country Radio Broadcasters have released details surrounding 3 highly anticipated agenda items that will take place during CRS 2020, set for Feb. 19-21 at Omni Nashville. The additions are:
Thursday, February 20, 9 a.m.: Do Metrics Prove the Music? A Three-Year Trend Case Study
Do the Metrics Prove the Music? Moderator Katie Dean (MCA Nashville SVP of Promotion) will be joined by Stone Door Media Lab’s Jeff Green, BMLG Records’ SVP of Promotion Matthew Hargis, and Hubbard Radio’s WUBE Cincinnati, OH PD Grover Collins as they revisit the Top 5, statistically proven, data metrics that truly matter in predicting a radio hit for 2020. This panel will explore the trends and analytics of a three-year Country Radio research project. Case studies of the Top songs of the past three years and current Country Radio Chart singles will be presented and discussed to see where the metrics do and do not align, and how you can apply that data in your day-to-day programming and label strategy.
Thursday, February 20, 10 a.m.: CRS Research Presentation
One of the hallmarks of CRS is the annual research presentation, specifically designed and commissioned for CRS attendees. The essence of the 2020 project is a deep dive into what makes Country listeners tick, and the perspective of the Country radio programmer. Evaluating the perceptions of both listeners and programmers is unique in the history of CRS research projects. This study will give Country radio decision-makers the opportunity to align perceptions with the audiences we serve, to see the world as our audience does, and to challenge ourselves, asking: are we IN TUNE?
Friday, February 21, 9 a.m.: Miles Adcox: Say Yes To Stress?!?
Miles Adcox, owner of Onsite, keynoted one of CRS 2018’s most attended, and highest-scoring sessions. Adcox returns to CRS, with a presentation covering an issue every attendee is dealing with: STRESS! Adcox will cover topics on accessibility, setting boundaries, recognizing and coping with stressful situations, advocating self-care, prioritizing, and the art of saying no.
