ANDy & ALISON - Inducted 2018

Chris Ritchie and Alison Mencer first met at WTDR. Both interested in doing a morning show, they decided to team up. They put together a mock radio show and sent out air-checks. They later sent their air-check along with a singing telegram to WIVK and were hired. There was already an on-air personality on WIVK with the name Chris, so Chris changed his name to Andy and they became Andy & Alison. Andy & Alison signed on the Knoxville WIVK airwaves in July 1997 as only the third morning show ever in the history of the station. The duo hosted one of the most successful morning shows in the country for twenty years. They’ve won numerous awards, including seven CMA’s for Personalities of the Year, three ACM’s for Personalities of the Year and three CRB/CA Air Personalities of the Year.
